NFTEFounded in 1987 by Steve Mariotti (a former business executive and entrepreneur) while he was a public high school teacher in New York City's South Bronx. Combining his business background with his desire to teach at-risk students, Steve discovered that when low-income youth are given the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, their innate "street smarts" can easily develop into "academic smarts" and "business smarts". ybiLogo.gif The Prince’s Youth Business International (YBI) champions youth enterprise by growing a global network which provides young people with the opportunity to start their own business.  YBI supports their network by helping develop their proven model of providing young entrepreneurs with access to credit, volunteer business mentors and business start-up services. In 2008, the network supported nearly 7,000 entrepreneurs – bringing the total number of entrepreneurs supported to 97,000 and providing employment to hundreds of thousands of people.
