Welcome to GEW Uganda Home Page. Enterprise Uganda is the offical Host of the GEW in Uganda. We have been hosting this event since 2008 when we joined the Global movement of Entrepreneurial People.

In the current global economic climate it is crucial to focus on supporting the enterprising skills and ambitions that will maintain our long-term economic prosperity. We need people who are motivated and equipped to seize new opportunities.

While Uganda provides a favourable environment for business start-up and there are positive attitudes toward enterprise, particularly among young people, many people have untapped entrepreneurial potential and lack the motivation, confidence, experience and capability to be enterprising. New and existing businesses often fail to grow at a rate that would drive up Uganda’s competitiveness and productivity. Our greatest challenge then is to unlock the talent and potential of everyone in the Uganda, using enterprise and the entrepreneurial opportunity as the key.
